First, you have to make sure that he is not showing any signs of indifference. Indifference means he is totally unconcerned about you. It doesn't matter whether you are dating another guy. What you do is no longer his concern.
If he gives you this kind of attitude, then it is best to move on. Next, you also want to know if he is dating another girl. If he is already committed to another girl, it is also advisable that you may want to move on.
However, if he is still single, most likely, you still stand a chance. The fact that he is still single may means he doesn't want to go into another relationship yet. Another possibility is that he is actually thinking about whether both of you can get back together.
If he still calls you once in a while to see if you are okay, that is also good news for you. That means he still miss you.
