Many diseases in this world depend directly on your food habits. Acne is just one of those kinds! The article below describes some of those 'food habit' factors which are essential to avoid acne and buy those acne solutions or other medicines or even shell out cash for visiting a Dermatologist for an acne cure.

Regulating the food habits of our day to day life can help in curing and avoiding acne and also can help you cut down on your expenses on the acne solutions. It is true that prevention is better that cure. So, why not do that? Let us take a step ahead to learn more about food habits that may have an impact.

- Milk and other dairy products play a crucial role. Cheese, skimmed milk and other dairy products contain sex hormones and also bovine IGF-1. This hormone contributes to the growth of children and has an anabolic affect in the adults. Almost every cell of our body is affected by the IGF-1 hormone (this includes lungs, muscles, bones, kidneys, liver, nerves and other vital organs of our body). This hormone directly impacts acne and is a catalyst in the outburst of the condition.

This explains that the dairy products play a role in acne outbreaks. So, a simple dictum is to consume a balanced amount of the milk and other dairy products which can be absorbed by the body without any impact on the skin. Prevention prevails over remediation...

- A diet rich of carbohydrates and glycemic foods triggers acne. This is generally available in the diet which includes high amount of products which are refined sugar based, processed food and also white bread. This is because carbohydrate foods which are rapidly digested causes an overload in the metabolic glucose and gets converted into fats which go straight into the glands which causes acne. This gland is known as the sebaceous gland. So, it is better to avoid such diet and eat something healthier.

- Chocolates (when moderately consumed) do not trigger off acne. Hence, stop thinking about acne and have some fun... grab some mouth watering chocolates!

In general home treatment for treating acne do have a role to play as not every skin type and acne outbreak is the same and not everyne is best helped by OTC medications. There is no magical treatment for acne.

Some say it is hard to believe that acne is curable through diet. But, medically proven fact is that, any skin disease needs 80% care from within the body and 20% treatment provided externally. So, let's target to fix our diet menu before mixing the face packs, and gear up to watch the spotfree, healthy skin on the mirror soon!
